How is the test taken?

A nose swab sample is taken by one of our healthcare professionals at one of nationwide clinics or at home by yourself, depending on whether you choose to get tested at home or in clinic.

What are the possible results of my test?

Negative: You do not have any evidence of an active Covid-19 infection.

Positive: The virus that causes Covid-19 has been detected on your swab. As of 18 March, the UK no longer requires quarantine after a positive Covid-19 result. Note, most destination countries will still require a negative test result to fly.

Unclear: On rare occasions, it might not be possible to say if you had the virus when your test was done. In the event of this happening please contact us, quote your order number and we will arrange a retest.

Does an antigen test include a Fit to Fly certificate and is an antigen test suitable for travel?

An Antigen Fit to Fly test does include a Fit to Fly Certificate. Antigen tests are suitable for many international destinations. Please note that for the antigen test to be accepted in the EU it must be on the EU’s approved list of antigen tests for entry. Our test is currently on the EU’s approved list. For other destinations that do not accept antigen tests, a PCR Fit to Fly test may be required. We recommend you check your specific destination requirements before arranging a test.

What does the test do and how accurate is it?

A PCR test is a nucleic acid test that looks for the genetic code (RNA) of the virus. It will not confirm whether you have had it and have developed an immune response - there are other tests available for that (see our antibody test). It is the gold standard of testing and is 99.9% accurate.
