FAQs

Have questions? Get answers to your questions from our expert Covid-19 support team 7 days a week.

Do I need to book an appointment?

No, our system allows you to take your test at a time that is convient for you and your travel arrangements.

What type of antigen test do you use?

We use Hughes SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test by Acon Biotech (Hangzhou) Co.

Is an antigen test safe for children?

Yes, children of any age can take an antigen test but we require children under the age of 18 to have parental consent. Please check your point of destination as different countries have different requirements for children.

Where can I get a test?

You can book an Antigen test online for any of our nationwide clinics. At each clinic we have healthcare professionals who administer your tests. Alternatively, you can have a test delivered to your home using our home testing service.

What format do I receive my results in and what information is shown on the certificate?

Your test results will be sent to you securely by text and email including a PDF you can download. Your certificate will show your full name, date of birth, passport number (optional), date and time of test, and issue date. It will also be signed by our Medical Director, Dr. Jeremy Harris GMC: 3076541.

Are you recognised by the UK Government and are you accredited?

We’re a leading UK government recognised provider of all private Covid-19 tests. Our tests are analysed at UKAS accredited labs that comply with ISO15189 and ISO17025 standards.

How soon before my flight should I be tested?

Time windows are normally given by your airline or the country you are flying to. For example, an antigen test is usually required within a 48 hour time window meaning that your swab needs to be taken within 48 hours of your flight. We recommend you check your specific destination requirements here.

How is the test taken?

A nose swab sample is taken by one of our healthcare professionals at one of our nationwide clinics or at home by yourself, depending on whether you choose to get tested at home or in clinic. If you are doing your test at home, you will need to follow the step-by-step instructions which include observed sampling. This is automatically accessed when choosing your destination country.

What are the possible results of my test?

Negative: You do not have any evidence of an active Covid-19 infection.

Positive: The virus that causes Covid-19 has been detected on your swab. As of 18 March, the UK no longer requires quarantine after a positive Covid-19 result. Note, most destination countries will still require a negative test result to fly.

Unclear: On rare occasions, it might not be possible to say if you had the virus when your test was done. In the event of this happening please contact us, quote your order number and we will arrange a retest.

Which test do I need for travel to Canada, Australia or New Zealand?

All clinic antigen tests are approved for travel so you can visit any one of our nationwide clinics for a test. For home testing, certain countries require an observed sample. Our home antigen tests include an observed sample (this is where you are observed taking your test), there are step-by-step video instructions for the entire testing process and when complete, you will be sent a Fit to Fly certificate that is accepted for entry into Canada, Australia or New Zealand. Please note PCR tests are also suitable for travel to these countries.

Is the home test an accepted testing method for countries requiring Fit to Fly home testing to be 'observed' (e.g. Canada, Australia and New Zealand)?

Yes - our home test is approved for travel to these countries. These countries state that travellers can be tested at home if the service offers supervised or observed sampling. Please check local government websites for guidelines on when to take your test.

How quickly can I get the test results back?

Antigen test results are delivered within three hours of when you submit your results, between 8am and 8pm GMT. Any results submitted after 5pm GMT may not be published until the next day. All test samples are analysed 7 days a week, and you'll get your results as soon as they're released.
